Ask concretely — does the generator power my whole flat or only the lifts, where does the water come from, does the basement flood. These questions matter far more than the kitchen finish.

Ask specifically whether the route between your flat and your office is one of the known flooding stretches, and whether the condominium's own basement and approach road hold up. Long-term residents can tell you; the brochure cannot.
